Founder of Curated & Bound. A daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother — and the keeper of four boxes of recipe cards that belonged to our Mom.
Preserve the recipes ✦ Keep the stories ✦ Honor the people you shared meals with
Our Mom — Granny to everyone who loved her — passed away in 2000 at the age of 68. She is deeply missed, probably most of all by her grandchildren, who absolutely adored her.
Our Dad — lovingly known as Pops — was extraordinary too. A mentor to so many, a man who loved his family with everything he had. He passed away in his 80s in 2016.
But they didn't leave. Not really. I see Granny and Pops every single day — in my brothers and sisters, in our children, in all of our grandchildren. The way they lived, the way they loved, the way they made everyone around them feel like they mattered — it is shining through all of us. That is their legacy, and it is very much alive.
"Those meals were never just about the food. They were how we said: you belong here. You are remembered. You matter to us."
Granny & Pops at Wildwood — 4th of July
After Granny passed, four boxes of recipe cards — collected across generations — were given to me. Recipes in her handwriting. Her mother's handwriting. Cards splattered with use, tucked into envelopes, written on the backs of things. I have carried those boxes for more than twenty years, knowing they needed to be preserved, knowing they needed to be shared — with my brothers and sisters, with all of our children, and with every grandchild who will never get to sit at her table but deserves to know what it felt like.
"Those four boxes of recipe cards have lived with me since 2000. Every time I open them, I can hear Granny's voice. I can smell her kitchen. I can feel what it was like to be loved by her.
My brothers and sisters deserve those recipes. Our children deserve them. Our grandchildren — who never got to sit at her table — deserve to know what it felt like. That's why I built Curated & Bound. And that's why I want to help your family do the same."

I have two brothers and two sisters, and we are incredibly close. We grew up surrounded by so much love and support — not just from family, but from the whole community of people who were always there. That's simply how we were raised. And we've never stopped living that way.
Together, between all five of us, we have children and grandchildren who fill our lives with noise and laughter and joy. We rent a cabin together every year. We show up for laser tag on birthdays and Halloween parties and Whiffleball tournaments and kickball games and bowling nights. When one of us calls, everyone comes. That's just who we are.
My own three kids are fantastic — I could go on for hours. My sons Justin and Spencer have carried Pops' entrepreneurial spirit right into their own lives — building, creating, leading with the same enthusiasm he modeled for all of us. My daughter Abby and her family live on a working homestead in Northern Minnesota, where all three of her children are in the garden every single day. All three of my kids gather people around a table, cook, grill, and create in their own beautiful ways. Just the way their Granny and Pops would have loved.
Abby's homestead — just the way Granny and Pops would have loved.
We grew up spending every summer at our family cabin on Round Lake — a place called Wildwood, shared with ten other families and fifty kids running wild together. Bonfires at the water's edge. Jumping off the dock. Kick-the-can as the sun went down. Rainy afternoons in the Lodge listening to the jukebox. That is the world Granny and Pops built for us. And it is the world we are still living in.

Ten families. Fifty kids. Every summer, every year.
I work with each family personally — reading your stories, asking questions, and making sure the book we build together feels entirely like yours. Not a template. Not a software product. A real book, made with care.
Every page of every book is laid out by hand — not generated by software.
The memories matter as much as the measurements. We write them in, carefully.
Hardcover. Acid-free paper. Designed to be passed down for generations.
I'd love to work with you. Let's build something your family will treasure for generations.
