After booking you'll complete a short intake questionnaire — telling us whose recipes these are, what the book should be called, any family stories or special memories, and how you'd like to submit your materials. This is where the book begins to take shape.
Choose the option that feels right for your family:
Mail your original recipe cards directly to Lynn. She will personally photograph every card with care and return all originals by tracked, insured shipping. Your family's handwriting never leaves the family.
Prefer to submit from home? Within 24 hours of booking you'll receive your personal secure submission link. Upload recipes one at a time at your own pace — we accept phone photos, scanned PDFs, and typed documents. You can also add a dish photo and share the family story behind each recipe right in the form.
Tip for best results: Photograph handwritten cards on a flat surface in natural daylight, holding your phone directly overhead. Scanning apps and PDFs work great too. But don't worry if cards are faded, stained, or fragile — that's exactly why the Ship Your Originals option exists.
Once all your materials are received, our team gets to work. We transcribe every recipe, standardize measurements and methods, write warm personal headnotes for each dish, and design your book from cover to cover. If anything is unclear we'll send you one consolidated clarification email — never a stream of back-and-forth messages.
Before anything goes to print, you receive a complete digital PDF proof of your book. You have 7 days to review and two full rounds of revisions included with every order. Read every headnote. Check every recipe. Make sure every word feels right.
Our commitment to you: Nothing goes to print until you give your written approval. This is your family's story — it has to be exactly right.
Once you approve your proof, your book goes to our premium print partner. Standard production is 7–10 business days. Heirloom Edition orders are carefully packed in a keepsake gift box with a handwritten note from our team.
