After booking, you'll receive your personal secure submission link within 24 hours. You can upload recipes one at a time at your own pace — we accept phone photos, scanned PDFs, and typed documents. For each recipe you can add a dish photo and share the family story behind it right in the form. If you prefer to mail original cards, we handle that too, with careful handling and tracked return shipping so your originals are always protected.

Absolutely — this is one of our specialties. We use specialist tools combined with our own careful human review to transcribe even faded, stained, or partially illegible handwriting. If anything is truly unclear, we'll ask you one consolidated question rather than a stream of back-and-forth messages. We've successfully worked with recipes written in pencil from the 1930s, cards stained with decades of cooking, and notes scrawled on torn notebook paper. If it exists, we can work with it.

Most books take 4–6 weeks from booking to delivery. Here's how that breaks down: production (transcription, writing, and design) takes 2–3 weeks from the time we receive all your materials; your 7-day proof review period and any revisions follow; then print and shipping adds 7–10 business days. Rush orders can be completed in under 2 weeks for an additional $75 — ideal for holiday gifts or milestone events with a firm date.

Every order includes two full rounds of revisions, included at no extra charge. During your 7-day proof review period you can request any changes — wording adjustments, layout tweaks, headnote edits, recipe corrections — and we'll send a revised proof. Nothing goes to print until you give your written approval. Your satisfaction isn't just our goal; it's our policy.

Yes — photo pages are included in the Classic Book and Heirloom Edition tiers. You can upload family photos through your personal submission link alongside your recipes, and we'll incorporate them beautifully into the book design. If you're ordering a Digital Keepsake or Signature Book and would like to add photo pages, contact us and we can discuss options.

All original physical materials are handled with the greatest care and returned to you via tracked shipping with insurance. We photograph every piece upon arrival and maintain a detailed log of all materials received. Your originals are irreplaceable — we treat them exactly that way. We've never lost a single card.

Yes — additional printed copies of the same book are available for $45 each when ordered at the same time as your original order. If you'd like to order more copies after your book is complete, please contact us and we'll be happy to arrange a reprint at the same price. Many families order multiple copies as gifts for siblings, children, or extended family members.

We're based in Minnesota, but our books have been delivered to families from Maine to Hawaii. International shipping is available upon request — please email us for a quote.

Please mention this in your intake form and we'll discuss the best approach for your specific collection — whether that means bilingual presentation, translation notes, or preserving the original language alongside an English version. We want the book to reflect your family's authentic heritage, not flatten it.
